Why it exists
The spinner is the weakest part of a Twister box. It gets lost, the arrow loosens until it sticks on the same spot, and someone always has to sit out to flick it and shout the moves. We wanted a spinner that anyone could open on a phone, that calls every move out loud, and that keeps going by itself while everyone is tangled up on the mat.
That became TwisterSpin. Once it could spin on a timer and talk, people started using it for other things too: yoga flows, home workouts and movement breaks in classrooms. So we added wheels for those.
What it does
- All 16 Twister moves, each with an equal chance, laid out like the cardboard spinner.
- Spoken calls in the voice of your choice, with optional 3-2-1 beeps.
- Auto spin from 2 seconds to 30 minutes, fixed or random.
- Party mode, which fills the screen with the called color and keeps the screen awake.
- Player names, turns and a winner announcement.
- Yoga, workout, classroom and fully custom wheels you can share with a link.
- It works offline once you add it to your home screen.
Who makes it
TwisterSpin is a small, independent project from Gauging Gadgets, which makes how-to videos and simple, free web tools. It is not made by, affiliated with or endorsed by Hasbro, which owns the Twister trademark. You still need a mat, from the game or one you make yourself.
How it stays free
There are no accounts, no subscriptions and no paid features. To cover hosting and development, ads may appear on the site. They will never sit on top of the spinner or interrupt a game.
Your privacy
Your settings, player names and custom wheels stay in your browser on your own device. We count visits with Plausible Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or collect personal data. The privacy policy has the details, including how ads work.
