Workout wheel: random exercises, called out loud

Spin for an exercise, work until the timer runs out, take a breather, and let the wheel pick the next one. No equipment, no app and no planning.

Set up a hands-free circuit

  1. Pick a routine

Open Edit wheel and load a preset like Full body or HIIT blast, or type your own exercises into the slices.

  2. Set work and rest

Under Timing, set the time between spins as your work time, then add a rest between moves. Turn on 3-2-1 beeps for a warning before each switch.

  3. Start Auto spin

The wheel calls the exercise, counts you down, calls rest, then spins again. Press Stop when you are finished.

The routines

  • Full body (no equipment): push-ups, squats, lunges, planks and other basics that hit every major muscle group. The best place to start.
  • HIIT blast: fast, high-effort moves like burpees and mountain climbers. Pair it with short work times and real rest.
  • Core crusher: planks, crunches, leg raises and twists for your midsection.
  • Cardio burn: moves that keep your heart rate up, such as high knees and skaters.
  • Bodyweight strength: slower, harder moves for building strength without weights.
  • Low impact: no jumping, so it suits beginners, people with sore joints and apartment floors.

Every routine can be edited. Swap in a move you like, take out one you can't do, or add slices until you have up to 16 exercises.

Interval settings to try

Turn on Use every move before repeating so you get through the whole list before anything comes back. With eight exercises and 40/20 intervals, that is one full round every eight minutes.

For proper intervals with rounds, turn on HIIT mode at the top of Timing. You set a work time, a rest time and the number of rounds, any exercise can have its own time, and the wheel calls out the next exercise during each rest. The HIIT timer page opens with it already switched on.

Want a surprise? Turn on Random time and set a range like 20 to 50 seconds. You won't know whether the next set is short or long until the countdown starts.

Warm up for a few minutes first and stop if anything hurts. If you have a health condition or haven't exercised in a while, check with a doctor before starting a new routine.

Workout games for groups

  • Spin the deck. Add each person's name under Players. The wheel names who picks the next move, and everyone does it together.
  • Team challenge. Put the wheel on a TV in party mode. Each round, both teams do the exercise and count reps. Most reps after ten spins wins.
  • Gym class stations. Name the slices after your stations, such as Jump rope, Wall sits and Cones, and let the wheel rotate the class.
  • Movie-night penalty. Load Cardio burn and spin every time the remote changes hands. Easy to do, hard to escape.

Questions

How do I set work and rest times?

Open Timing. Time between spins is how long you work on each exercise. Rest between moves adds a break after each one, from 10 to 60 seconds. For example, 40 seconds of work with 20 seconds of rest is a classic interval.

Do I need any equipment?

No. Every preset uses bodyweight moves only. If you have dumbbells, kettlebells or a jump rope, open Edit wheel and type those exercises into the slices.

Can I make my own workout?

Yes. Open Edit wheel to rename, recolor, add or remove exercises. The wheel holds 2 to 16 moves and saves your list on your device. Use Copy share link to send your workout to a friend.

Will I get the same exercise twice in a row?

Not with Use every move before repeating turned on. The spinner goes through every exercise on the wheel once before repeating any of them, so the whole body gets worked.

Can a group use it together?

Yes. Put it on a TV or projector and turn on party mode so everyone can read the exercise from across the room. Add names under Players to have the spinner call each person's turn.
